Covering the costs of rehabilitation products does not
always have to fall entirely on the client. In many cases there are
options to have funding provided by government and third party
organizations. As there are many funding organizations throughout BC, we have listed the most popular ones below. For more
information on these sources,
please refer to their websites. If you have questions concerning

Home Adaptations for Independance (HAFI)1-800-689-2477
The Home Adaptations for Independence (HAFI) program helps low-income seniors and people with disabilities finance
home modifications for accessible, safe and independent living.
Up to $20,000 worth of funding is available for each case.
Typically funds: all forms of rehabilitation equipment, including:

Vertical Platform Lifts,
Elevators

Financial assistance for any purpose that is for the good and welfare of a person prior to his/her 19th birthday when
sponsored by a lodge, and for charitable programs addressing the needs of children with hearing and speech disorders.

Funding for assessment, trialing, acquisition and/or training with equipment and assistive
devices for people with disabilities who have employment or voluntarism goals (for individuals
18 years of age or older).
